Piano and guitar instruction for beginners and those just looking to improve
About Me
I grew up in Bryan/College Station and began piano lessons at age six and guitar at 13. I started teaching piano and guitar lessons in 2012 and have since instructed students of various backgrounds from ages three to 60+. I welcome all levels of students, whether beginners or those just looking to improve. In 2009, I sang backup vocals on my sister’s debut album (Claire Domingue, Someday You’ll Know), and also sang, played guitar, and helped write songs for a second album in 2014 (Claire Domingue, The Shape of Sounds).
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Horticulture from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in floral design and event planning. I recognize that music students are unique and learn at different paces, so I shape lessons based on students’ personal goals, whether that includes playing covers of their favorite songs, composing their own music, or accompanying others in a group.

Our daughter has been going to Ms. Camille for years now and we could not love her more! She has encouraged her to pursue her own musical taste and she is very flexible to her learning style. Ms. Camille is kind and organized and our daughter looks forward to her lessons. The yearly recitals are also very special and we are always amazed by the progress!

Over the last two years, I have witnessed significant musical growth in my daughter under Camille’s expert guidance. She has been receiving both piano and guitar instruction from Camille via FaceTime, given our distance from College Station. It was gratifying to attend the spring recital to see my daughter perform and showcase her talents. I also enjoyed observing Camille’s students across various ages and skill levels demonstrate their abilities. Each student benefits from Camille’s professionalism, kindness & dedication. I highly recommend Camille as an instructor for your piano or guitar instruction.

Camille is a wonderful piano teacher! She’s kind, patient, and focused on the individuality of each student. My daughter has progressed quickly, but most importantly, she’s eager to attend her lessons. Camille is fostering a love of music for her, and I couldn’t ask for more than that!

FAQ’s
What ages do you teach?
I offer lessons for ages 3 to adult, and it’s never too late to start!
What instruments do you teach?
I teach piano and guitar.
Do I have to commit to a certain number of lessons?
The first lesson for every student is free so that you can try it out before committing any further. After that, I ask for a month to month commitment, and you can cancel anytime.
Which size and brand should I buy for the instrument I want to learn?
The “right” instrument to buy can vary depending on your budget, space in your house, genre you’d like to learn, and the age of the student learning. I would be happy to have a conversation with you to discuss your personal needs and guide you to the best choice for you. It is helpful to have your instrument before starting lessons, but not required. You can still learn a lot in the first couple lessons without having something at home yet to practice on.
For guitar students: I have different sized guitars that you are welcome to try at our lessons to help you make a decision if you are unsure of the right size to purchase.
Will there be performance opportunities?
Absolutely! I have a recital at the end of every spring semester where all my students get the opportunity to perform. This is strongly encouraged but not required.
Do I need lesson books?
For piano students, yes. I will let you know which books to purchase. Beginner books are usually $10-20. For guitar students, I will provide you with papers, and you’ll just need a folder or binder to keep them in.
What if I need to miss a lesson?
If you need to miss for any reason, 24 hours’ notice is greatly appreciated, and then we can find a time to reschedule.
Should I stay or drop my child off?
You are welcome to do either. I find some children do better when their parents do not stay, and others do better when their parents listen and know how to help them practice at home. I am happy to support whichever option works best for your family.
